'City for Education’ 2018 to showcase new professions — cyber technologist in smart environments, urban ecologist, eco-chef in molecular gastronomy

’ City for Education’ Moscow International Forum 2018 will offer a busy program for its visitors — 650 leading instructors from Moscow colleges will give over 250 master classes. The visitors can take part in any of those at the Moscow Vocational Education stand.

According to the Press Office of the Moscow City Department of Education, “the Forum welcomes secondary and high school students and their parents. Master classes will be given in the ‘College as a Multiskill Territory’ space, to introduce today’s competencies — HardSkills, SoftSkills, FutureSkills. The visitors will hear about professions of tomorrow, such as urban ecologist, cyber technologist in smart environments, manager of electrical vehicle charging stations, personal brand manager, eco-cooking & molecular gastronomy, interface design,

School students will be given an opportunity to get career guidance by using a career navigator tool, and get their individual competence profile too. Having decided on the future profession, the students would then map their own route around the Moscow Vocational Education area, to uncover the secrets of the profession of their choice. At the cooking class, the children will cook Ossetian pies, and learn about the traditional presentation of Italian dishes. The IT class will help them master 3D modelling and visualization skills. Those attending the master-class on Production Technologies will discuss the prospects of 3D printing. Adult visitors will learn about a new platform launched in Moscow — navigator across training and education opportunities for adults in Russia’s capital.

The ‘City for Education’ will also host a show with master-classes on leadership, to be delivered by respective champions. They will demonstrate their competencies in electrical works, neurotechnology, graphic design, electronics, mobile robotics, Internet of Things, CAD design, CNC turning, prototyping, administration of networks and systems, and city-farming.

The stand ‘Technosphere (techno ecosystem) of a Moscow College’ will showcase new technological solutions in vocational education that help organize the process of teaching and learning in a most efficient way.

The ‘City for Education’ Moscow International Forum 2018 will take place in pavilion 75 of VDNH Expo from 30 August till 2 September.It is a major global communication and exhibition platform set up to promote sharing of the best practice, and integration of the resources available in a capital city to implement the Open Education concepts. Moscow is a hub of innovations, with a unique educational environment that will help today’s children grow into successful professionals.
